AugmentPro.com was started as an Augmented Reality blog community for the marketing professional who is looking to be on the cutting edge of understanding Augmented Reality as part of the overall integrated marketing mix for a company, agency, brand, or personal use. If it’s augmented reality for the general public, it will be in AugmentPro.com.
Augmented Reality as a term has existed since the early 1990’s according to Wikipedia. As practical applications began to take shape, AR has been used extensively in the military, education, and automotive industries. Europe and Asia have adopted AR in multiple ways.
Throughout 2009, Augmented Reality applications began to gain traction with brands and agencies in North America. Unfortunately there were very few industry blogs available that focused on Augmented Reality from a marketing perspective to understand AR as another channel to integrate into overall marketing campaigns.
With this need to create a niche blog specifically to cover breaking news, application reviews, use cases, from a marketers perspective, AugmentPro.com was born.

Cosmin Ghiurau is a digital marketing professional who has been immersed in all things interactive since 1994.
Identifying useful emerging technologies as a business case is a constant passion.
A leader and visionary, he has an outstanding track record in counseling clients on web strategy, digital marketing, social media, and emerging technology. His proven ability to work in unison with everyone from top-level executives, board of directors, and management staff is invaluable in the solution process.
Cosmin’s professional career spans a number of industries. He’s worked within various automotive design studios, including the General Motors Creative Styling Studios. In 1994, Cosmin turned his focus to the world of interactive and digital marketing. His skills were immediately demonstrated in the successful launch and growth of a former web development company, Jumpeye Creative Media.
Cosmin obtained his Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Product Design from the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Today, he continues a strong personal commitment to self-education. In addition, his leadership skills are shared through his involvement in various youth initiatives that pertain to technology, online collaboration, and emerging technologies.
