John Mayer is no stranger to emerging technology. He used social media from the onset and had one of the largest followings on Twitter at one point. Now he has just launched what might be the first ever Augmented Reality use for the celebrity musician. His upcoming album and music video is integrated directly with the use of AR. If you go directly to his current site, you will notice it is the first thing that they user is asked to engage with.
Jeff Ramos from the blog “Do More” has put together a great demo video showcasing how it works. Take a look at that video along with how John Mayer talks about the experience.
Curious to see what Musician or Entertainer will be next in line to come up with a creative way to leverage Augmented Reality to engage or I should say emerge their fans in their art.
